ALBANY 3 DAY TOUR

Day 1:   Perth-Margaret River+ Busselton Jetty + Canal Rock + Leeuwin Light house + Gloucester Tree

Depart for the Margaret River. The first stop is Busselton Jetty which is the longest timber piledtimber-piled jetty in the southern hemisphere at 1,841 metres long. We will spend 1 hour here, so that you can Sit back and relax to enjoy a train ride, it takes you across the calm, clear waters of Geographe Bay.

 

Next , we will go to canal rocks to witness spectacular seascape views across the Indian Ocean and up and down the remote coastline at Canal Rocks.

 

Around lLunch time, we will do a wine tasting and you can either have your lunch at fishbone Wine or chocolate factory., Aafter lunch, you will try three different flavors of chocolate and walk around in the chocolate factory to see lots many varietiesvariety of hand made chocolate.

 

Next we will be heading to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the junction of the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean, for a ground visit.

We will continue the journey by heading south to visit Gloucester National Park in Pemberton. The Gloucester Tree is a giant karri tree in the Gloucester National Park of Western Australia. At 58 metres in height, it is the world's second tallest fire-lookout tree, and visitors can climb up to a platform in its upper branches for views of the surrounding karri forest.

The accommodation is arranged at the Best Western Pemberton. The hotel restaurant provides meals at a reasonable price, the local delicacy “Marron” plate is on the menu.

Day 2:   Valley of Giants Treetop Walk+Denmark+ Green Pool+ Elephant Rocks+Albany

Depart from the accommodation at 8 am. Aafter breakfast, we will be heading to the Valley of Giant located in Walpole, enjoy treetop walk. The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is an internationally recognised nature-based tourism attraction, located in Australia’s South West, giving you a bird’s eye view of some of the biggest timber giants on Earth – Western Australia’s majestic tingle trees.

 

Climbing 40 metres into the forest canopy and meandering through the treetops for 600 metres, the walkingwalk trail is the first of its kind, designed to maximise views and minimise the impact. Descending to the boardwalks below to explore the Ancient Empire Walk, you’ll enter a grove of towering veteran tingle trees. These giant eucalypts are found nowhere else in Australia, or on Earth as a matter of fact, and some have been standing for more than 400 years.

 

Around lunch time, we will stop at Denmark, a beautiful and peaceful town with a population of 5000. Over 100 years ago, it used to be a busy town with timber and gold business.

 

After lunch, we will head to Greens Ppool and Elephant rocks. Visit the massive rounded boulders of Elephant Rocks near picture perfect Greens Pool in Denmark. These granite domes resemble elephants set off the shallow waters only a short walk from Greens Pool. It’s the perfect place for that holiday photograph.

 

Earlying evening, we will check in Ace Accommodation Albany. The restaurant provides a menu with variety.

Day 3: The Gap and Natural Bridge  +  Whaling Station + Wind Farm + Sandalwood Factory + Gnomesville

 

After breakfast, we will be heading to the Gap and Naturalnatural Bridge. The surging power of the Southern Ocean is evident at The Gap, a spectacular channel in the 40m high coastal granites of Torndirrup National Park. Lookouts at both The Gap and Natural Bridge provide outstanding views of the Southern Ocean and the coast from Bald Head to West Cape Howe.

 

Albany's Historic Whaling Station is the only experience of its kind in the world. Explore an intact whale processing factory and whale chasing ship - fully restored and ready for you to discover.

 

The Albany Wind Farm is one of the most spectacular and largest wind farms in Australia. The wind farm walk offers spectacular views of the eco-friendly turbines along the Torndirrup Peninsula at Sand Patch.

 

After lunch, We will visit the local Sandalwood Factory in Albany, it is the world's largest supplier of natural sandalwood oil. 

 

Next visit will be Gnomesville which is the magical home to over 3,000 Gnomes who have migrated here from all over Australia and around the world. 

 

In the early evening, we will be heading back to Perth and arrive around 8:00 pm.

 

The above itinerary may be adjusted according to the travel situation on the day

Please bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a thin coat or rain gear, photographic equipment, personal medicines, and dry clothing. Wear comfortable walking shoes. To bring a power adapter if it's needed.
