Travel into the heart of the Grampians National Park, one of the world’s oldest and most spectacular mountain ranges. Enjoy bushland hiking trails with the best lookout views the Grampians National Park has to offer. En route to the Grampians stops at the township of Beaufort for refreshments.
As you drive through the Grampians your experienced guide will point out our unique wildlife, including kangaroos, emus and a vast array of birdlife and seasonal native wildflowers. Travel straight into the heart of the Grampians National Park to the delightful town of Halls Gap, then off to stretch those legs with a walk through the breath-taking scenic vistas.
You stop for a break in Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampians for lunch (at guest’s own expense) before a visit to Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre. This Centre brings to life the amazing history, art and culture of the local aboriginal communities. Hike to the remarkable Jaws of Death and Balconies Lookout experiencing majestic views and scenery, featured in the famous Japanese Animation ‘Princess Mononoke’. Follow the steep trail to the base of the falls, one of Australia's most inspiring waterfalls, MacKenzie Falls (alternatively Silverband Falls or Beehive Falls). Returning to Melbourne, stopping along the way for dinner (at own expense).
